Woman shot dead by live-in partner in Cavite

CAMP VICENTE LIM, Laguna, Philippines — A woman was shot dead by her common law husband inside their house in Barangay Salitran in Dasmariñas City, Cavite yesterday.

Probers identified the victim as Marianne Doque and her assailant only as alias Kenny.

Doque’s daughter told investigators that she heard the two arguing inside their room past midnight yesterday. She added that she rushed to their room when she heard gunshots.

The daughter said she found her mother bloodied and slumped on the floor.

She also told police that her stepfather escaped on foot.
