CAMP VICENTE LIM, Laguna, Philippines — A businessman tagged as the prime suspect in the murder of a member of the Philippine Navy, whose body was found in Batangas two weeks ago, was arrested in Mandaluyong City on Tuesday.
Caezar Mangubat, 37, was collared based on a warrant issued by Judge Mary Grace Bonsol-Cabal of the Laguna Regional Trial Court Fourth Judicial Region Branch 35, according to Lt. Col. Titoy Jay Cuden, Mandaluyong police chief.
No bail was recommended for the temporary liberty of Mangubat, who was tagged as the mastermind in the murder of Ronald Silanga.
Silanga, said to be a Navy intelligence officer, was found dead with gunshot wounds in Barangay San Rafael in Sto. Tomas town on Sept. 6.
