MANILA, Philippines — The operator of the Manila-Cavite Expressway has started charging toll for the CAVITEX C5 Link Sucat Interchange in Parañaque.
The toll collection started at 12:01 a.m. yesterday.
The use of the interchange has been free since its opening in June.
A post on social media said toll rates for the CAVITEX Sucat segment will be P36, P72 and P108 for Class 1, 2 and 3 vehicles, respectively.
The Link road spans 1.9 kilometers and connects the Cavitex Radial Road 1 to the Sucat Interchange.
The road segment is part of the larger Manila-Cavite Expressway and is expected to serve approximately 23,000 vehicles daily.
The introduction of toll aims to support ongoing maintenance and enhancement of the expressway, which is designed to improve traffic flow and connectivity between Manila and Cavite.
Motorists have been advised to be ready for the charges and ensure a sufficient balance in RFID cards to facilitate a smooth and hassle-free travel experience, the operator said.
CAVITEX C5 Link is maintained by the PEA Tollway Corp. and Cavitex Infrastructure Corp., a unit of Metro Pacific Investments Corp.
