5 bettors split P6 million lotto prize

MANILA, Philippines —  Five bettors in Metro Manila won the more than P6 million jackpot in the 6D Lotto game of the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office on Tuesday.

Melquiades Robles, PCSO general manager and vice chairman of the board, said one of the winners bought a lotto ticket in an outlet along Liwasang Kalayaan street in Marikina Heights, Marikina.

The other winners bought their tickets at lotto outlets in Old Santa Mesa, Manila; Pinagbuhatan, Pasig; E. Dela Paz street in Marikina, and Quintin Paredes street in Binondo, Manila.

They guessed the winning combination 0-9-2-3-5-1 in the 6D Lotto draw.

The PCSO said each bettor would receive P1,202,360.

The Tax Reform for Acceleration and Inclusion or TRAIN Law imposes 20 percent tax on lotto winnings above P10,000.

Twenty-one bettors won P40,000 each.

The 6D Lotto is drawn every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday.
