MVP, Congressional Spouses tie up for cancer care center

MANILA, Philippines — Seed funding for a new cancer care facility at the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) Medical Center in Quezon City has been turned over by the Congressional Spouses Foundation Inc. (CSFI).

The Casualty and Cancer Care Center is a joint project of the CSFI and the MVP Group headed by Manuel V. Pangilinan.

Personnel of the AFP will benefit from the project.

The inauguration of the project’s first phase is set before the year ends.

CSFI president Rose Marie Arenas and chief finance officer Evelina Escudero turned over the donation to Makati Medical Center Foundation president Victor Gisbert.

The project is an initiative of the CSFI under the leadership of Tingog pary-list Rep. Yedda Marie Romualdez, with the support of Speaker Martin Romualdez.
