MANILA, Philippines — President Marcos’ Bagong Pilipinas Serbisyo Fair (BPSF) is in Davao City to deliver P1.2 billion worth of government services and financial assistance to 250,000 beneficiaries.

Speaker Martin Romualdez, main proponent of the BPSF, said the two-day caravan that started yesterday is being conducted in partnership with the Mindanao Development Authority (MinDA).

Dubbed “MindaNOW: Serbisyo Para sa Mindanao,” Romualdez said the caravan aims to ensure that no Filipino will be left behind.

Romualdez, who represented Marcos during the opening of the BPSF at the University of Southeastern Philippines, commended government officials and employees as well as the members of Congress for making the caravan in Davao City possible.

“We will keep pushing for the Bagong Pilipinas so all programs of the governmet will benefit and be felt by every Filipino,” he said.

The BPSF in Davao City, which is the 23rd installment of the caravan, is headed by MinDA Secretary Leo Tereso Magno, in coordination with party list representatives Yedda Romualdez and Jude Acidre of Tingog, Claudine Diana Bautista-Lim of DUMPER, Margarita Nograles of PBA and Sandro Gonzalez of Marino.

It is the 3rd BPSF in Davao region, with the first two held in Monkayo, Davao de Oro in September 2023 and in Tagum, Davao del Norte in June this year.

House Deputy Secretary General Sofonias Gabonada, Jr., an official of the BPSF, said that of the total amount spent, P1 billion were distributed in the form of cash assistance to indigents.

The government aims to bring the BPSF to all barangays nationwide.
