2 women die in motorcycle crash

MANILA, Philippines — Two women on a motorcycle died after they crashed into a road divider along Lacson Avenue in Sampaloc, Manila yesterday.

Reana Antonette Tomas, 23, of Parañaque, and Ana Mae Adlaon died at the scene.

Police said the victims were on a Yamaha Mio when Tomas lost control of the motorcycle while descending the Nagtahan Bridge.

According to reports, the motorcycle avoided another vehicle, causing it to smash into the road divider.

Tomas and Adlaon were thrown off the motorcycle approximately 15 meters from the point of impact.

The bodies were taken to a funeral parlor for safekeeping.
