MANILA, Philippines — Minimum wage earners in Central Visayas and Ilocos region are expected to receive a higher daily take-home pay.

The National Wages and Productivity Commission (NWPC) said it would conduct a public hearing on the wage adjustment in Central Visayas tomorrow.

The Regional Tripartite Wages and Productivity Board (RTWPB) in Central Visayas said the public consultation would be held at the Balamban municipal hall in Cebu.

Meanwhile, the RTWPB in Ilocos will hold a similar dialogue today that is expected to benefit minimum wage earners in the region.

The wage board said the salary adjustment for minimum wage earners in the private sector, including household workers or kasambahay, would be discussed during the consultation.

Wage boards in other regions will review the wage rates in their jurisdictions next month.
