PNP urged: Intensify drug war in Camanava

MANILA, Philippines — Interior Secretary Benhur Abalos has ordered the Philippine National Police to intensify its campaign against illegal drugs in Caloocan, Malabon, Navotas and Valenzuela.

“We will deploy police in every barangay if it’s necessary. I listed at least 25 percent of the barangays that should be prioritized,” Abalos said.

The “Revitalized Pulis sa Barangay” program in the Camanava area is part of the Buhay Ingatan, Droga’y Ayawan flagship program of the Department of the Interior and Local Government.

Meanwhile, 13 people graduated from the community-based drug rehabilitation program in Caloocan, including 10 students from the University of Caloocan City.
