Vessel rams Zamboanga City wharf; 2 injured

MANILA, Philippines — Two people were injured when a passenger vessel rammed a wharf in Zamboanga City last Thursday.

The Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) said the motor vessel Ciara Joie 2 reportedly encountered engine trouble, causing it to hit the Marginal Wharf in Pasio Del Mar.

The PCG assisted 61 people on board the vessel, including 36 passengers and 25 crewmembers.

The injured passengers were brought to the hospital for treatment of injuries. 

The Ciara Joie 2 came from Isabela City in Basilan, the PCG said.
