Soccsksargen wage board sets hearing next week

MANILA, Philippines — The Regional Tripartite Wages and Productivity Board (RTWPB) in Region 12 has set a public consultation to determine the minimum wage for Soccsksargen this Tuesday.

“It is the purpose of this consultation to obtain comprehensive feedback from both management and labor to ensure the formulation of fair and effective wage policies in Soccsksargen,” the RTWPB said in a social media post.?

The Soccsksargen wage board approved a wage increase of P35 on Oct. 16, 2023.

This brought the daily minimum wage in the region to P403 for non-agriculture workers and P382 for those in agriculture, service and retail.

“It is crucial that you participate in this initiative to help ensure that all stakeholders’ needs are met,” the RTWPB said, as it urged the public to register for the hearing that will be held at the AJ Hi-Time Hotel Conference Hall in Kidapawan City at 1 p.m.on Aug. 20.
