MANILA, Philippines — A 53-year-old overseas Filipino worker (OFW) has returned to the country to claim the P27.4-million Regular Lotto 6/42 jackpot he won on the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO)’s web-based lotto betting app or electronic lotto (e-lotto) platform.

The lone jackpot winner guessed the July 11 winning combination 33-17-40-09-42-20.

The new millionaire has been working in the Middle East for 20 years to provide for his family. Every time he comes home, he places his lotto bet with the numbers from his family members’ birthdates.

However, his jackpot win was achieved with the use of PCSO’s e-lotto platform through which he was able to play conveniently and securely abroad.

“The eLotto is really popular in the Middle East. It is at par with ThaiLotto and SaudiLotto,” the winner said.

The OFW-turned-millionaire attested that his win could influence him to stay in the country for good in order to start businesses and pay ongoing medical expenses.
