CAMP VICENTE LIM, Laguna, Philippines — A businesswoman and her relative were stabbed to death in a condominium in Barangay Bayan Luma 2 in Imus City Friday.
Initial investigation showed that the businesswoman’s partner, a 60-year-old woman, came with a companion late Friday night. Her neighbors told police that they also heard a loud confrontation.
Police identified the victims as businesswoman Aldena Popelo, 48, and relative Jenelyn Salvador, 19. Their bodies were discovered by Popelo’s brother, who came to check after she failed to open her stall at the Imus Public Market. A bloodied icepick was also found in their bedroom.
Investigators are eyeing jealousy as a probable motive.
