MEXICO, Pampanga, Philippines — President Marcos has turned over P782 million worth of heavy equipment to regional offices of the National Irrigation Administration (NIA).
Marcos and Agriculture Secretary Francisco Tiu Laurel led the distribution in Barangay Panipuan on Wednesday.
The newly procured 148 heavy equipment include excavators, trailer trucks and dumpers.
The acquisition is part of the NIA’s three-year refleeting program, which aims to achieve its goal of fast-tracking irrigation development.
