3 injured in EDSA flyover collision

MANILA, Philippines — Three persons were injured after two motorcycles collided with a truck along the EDSA-Santolan flyover in Quezon City on Sunday.

A rescue team of the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority arrived at the scene and transported the victims to the East Avenue Medical Center.

The truck driver told traffic probers that the two motorcycles collided before crashing into his vehicle.

Meanwhile, a sports car rammed several barriers after attempting to enter the EDSA busway on Sunday.

The driver has yet to be identified.

In Caloocan City, a trailer truck rammed a motorcycle along Lapu-Lapu extension in Barangay 12, killing two persons and injuring another.

John Paul Almendras, 29, drove a Honda Click motorcycle with Diane Begornia, 18, and Mary Joy dela Casa, 15.

The motorcycle reportedly hit the side of the truck driven by Telesforo Tupaz, 45.

Tupaz crashed into the motorcycle, causing the deaths of Begornia and Dela Casa.
