Las Piñas fire: 1 hurt, 2 families homeless

MANILA, Philippines — A 52-year-old man was injured and two families were left homeless after a fire struck a residential area in Las Piñas City on Sunday night.

Roger Seranilla suffered a laceration on his left hand, according to the Bureau of Fire Protection.

Arson investigators said the fire started in a residential building at KCI Vergara Compound in Barangay Zapote at around 8:28 p.m.

The fire reached first alarm before it was doused at 8:58 p.m. Damage to property was placed at P30,000.
