Fugitive wanted for murder nabbed

MANILA, Philippines — The ninth most wanted fugitive in Mimaropa was arrested in Muntinlupa City on Friday.

Angelo Maru, 43, was apprehended in Vicar Village in Barangay Poblacion at around 12:10 a.m., according to National Capital Region Police Office director Maj. Gen. Jose Melencio Nartatez Jr.

The basis of Maru’s capture is a warrant of arrest for murder issued by a court in Palawan.

Nartatez did not disclose other details of the case the suspect, who is a native of Aborlan in Palawan, is facing.

Maru will be brought to the court to face trial.
