MANILA, Philippines — Malacañang has declared special non-working holidays in three areas in the Visayas and Mindanao for the commemoration of their founding anniversaries and local festivals next month.
Proclamation 550 declared June 6 a special non-working day in Zamboanga del Norte for the celebration of the 72nd Araw ng Zamboanga del Norte.
Proclamation 551 declared June 13 a special non-working day in Silay City in Negros Occidental, which will hold its annual fiesta and cultural festivities from June 3 to 13.
“On June 13, the city of Silay will mark the culmination of such momentous celebration,” the declaration read.
Meanwhile, the Palace declared June 21 a special non-working day in the municipality of Bingawan in Iloilo, which will celebrate its founding anniversary and the Pagnahi-an Festival.
The Bingawan holiday is contained in Proclamation 552, which was signed by Executive Secretary Lucas Bersamin on May 23.
Proclamations 550 and 551 were signed on May 21.
