MANILA, Philippines — The city government of Muntinlupa will give free drinking water to its residents starting today amid the scorching heat being experienced in the country.

The “Libreng Inuming Tubig” caravan will start at 10 a.m. at six select locations within the city.

The locations include the Philippine National Police-Muntinlupa, Laguerta in Barangay Tunasan, Plaza Central in Barangay Poblacion, Soldiers’ Hills Outpost in Barangay Putatan, Alabang Central Market in Barangay Alabang, Alabang Terminal (for Lawton-bound public utility vehicles) in Barangay Alabang and Sucat Upper police station in Barangay Sucat.

“The city government of Muntinlupa allotted free drinking water to residents who are on the road for their livelihoods, travel or for errands,” Mayor Ruffy Biazon said.

Last week, the city government suspended face-to-face classes due to the forecast of high heat indices.
