CAMP OLIVAS, Pampanga, Philippines — An Army officer was shot dead in his office in Angat, Bulacan on Saturday afternoon.

Maj. Dennis Moreno, 41, was declared dead on arrival at the Twin Care Hospital due to multiple gunshot wounds, according to Brig. Gen. Jose Hidalgo Jr., Central Luzon police director.

Investigation showed the assailant barged into Moreno’s office in Barangay Marungko and shot him repeatedly using a short firearm. 

The assailant fled on a motorcycle.

Probers have yet to identify the assailant and determine the motive for the killing.
