MANILA, Philippines — Malacañang has declared holidays in four areas to allow residents to participate in local festivities.

The holidays were declared in four proclamations signed on March 15 by Executive Secretary Lucas Bersamin by the authority of President Marcos.

Proclamation 496 declared April 3 a special non-working day in Balangiga, Eastern Samar, which will celebrate its 170th founding anniversary.

Proclamation 497 declared April 4 a holiday in Antipolo, Rizal to mark its 26th cityhood anniversary.

Bersamin also signed Proclamation 498 declaring April 5 a special non-working day in the entire province of Pangasinan, which will celebrate its 444th founding anniversary.

Malacañang declared April 19 a holiday in Tarlac City through Proclamation 499, to allow residents to celebrate the city’s 26th charter anniversary.
