MANILA, Philippines — Motorists who pass through the Muntinlupa-Cavite Expressway (MCX) will pay an additional P3 starting tomorrow.
In an advisory, the Toll Regulatory Board (TRB) said it has authorized MCX Project Co. Inc., the operator of the MCX, to begin collecting the second tranche of toll hike.
The TRB issued the notice to start collection of new toll rates for the MCX after its concessionaire complied with the publication requirements and settled the surety bond.
With the second round of toll adjustment, the new toll at the MCX will be P19 for Class 1 vehicles, P39 for Class 2 and P58 for Class 3.
The TRB said the toll hike was approved in line with the periodic adjustments for 2018 and 2020.
The first tranche of the toll adjustment, which was approved in 2023, was implemented in November.
The MCX is a four-kilometer expressway that passes through Daang Hari and Daang Reyna and connects to Susana Heights along the South Luzon Expressway. It is known as the shortest toll road in the country.
