2 dead in Bulacan road mishap

CAMP ALEJO SANTOS, Bulacan, Philippines — Two motorcycle riders died while the driver and a passenger of a car were injured when the two vehicles collided in Balagtas, Bulacan after midnight yesterday.

Reports reaching Col. Relly Arnedo, Bulacan police director, identified the fatalities as Ronald Arevalo and Christian Caluag.

Willard Kent Silverio and Louie Dane Gatuz were injured and remained confined at the JBL Memorial Hospital in San Fernando, Pampanga.

Initial investigation showed Arevalo was driving the motorcycle when it collided with the Toyota Corolla driven by Silverio on the opposite lane along MacArthur Highway in Barangay Borol 1st.

Witnesses said the car also rammed a stall by the roadside before the vehicle burst into flames.
