AGNO, Pangasinan, Philippines —A fisherman who was reported missing for three days was rescued by the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) in the waters off this town on Sunday.

The PCG-North Western Luzon district said Dexter Abalos, 32, of Barangay Aloleng, went fishing on March 7.

Abalos told the PCG that he was about to return to shore when a dolphin hit his motor boat, causing it to capsize.

He said he swam toward a fish marker, where he waited to be rescued.

A PCG aircraft conducting air surveillance found the location of the missing fisherman.

PCG men based in this province and members of the local disaster risk reduction and management office rushed to the location of Abalos based on the coordinates submitted by the PCG aircraft.
