10 hurt as water tank explodes in Parañaque

MANILA, Philippines — Ten people were injured after a water tank installed on the roof deck of an 11-story building in Parañaque City exploded on Saturday night.

According to a report from the Southern Police District (SPD), the incident occurred at about 9:40 p.m. in Barangay Tambo.

Ten people were injured by debris and a cable transformer that fell from the building.

The injured persons included a 13-year-old boy and a six-year-old girl.

Also hit were several vehicles, including a sport utility vehicle and an e-trike.

The injured people were brought to the Ospital ng Parañaque for treatment.

According to the SPD, authorities are still investigating the cause of the water tank’s explosion.
