Businesswoman robbed, beaten in mall restroom

MANILA, Philippines — Police are hunting down a man who beat up and robbed a businesswoman in a mall in Quezon City on Thursday.

Investigators are working to get leads on the identity of the suspect, who was wearing a long-sleeved shirt, cap, denim jeans and sunglasses.

The suspect attacked a 32-year-old businesswoman at the Il Terrazo mall located at the corner of Tomas Morato Avenue and Sct. Madrinian street in Barangay South Triangle.

Police investigators said the incident occurred at around 12:07 p.m. in the restroom on the third floor of the mall.

Armed with a knife, the suspect grabbed the victim and dragged her into one of the cubicles.

The suspect then took the victims’ two cell phones and fled from the scene on foot.

The injured victim was found by mall-goers lying on the floor. She was treated for her injuries.
