COTABATO CITY, Philippines — Three men robbed a jewelry store at a mall in Ozamis City and carted away pieces of jewelry and cash worth around P40 million before dawn on Monday.

In an initial report, the Ozamis and Misamis Occidental police offices said the robbers broke into the Oro Italia Fine Jewelry store by digging a tunnel from a food store beside it.

The robbers took the pieces of jewelry on display and money in the safety vault. They also destroyed an ATM machine at the mall and took the money in it, police said.

Probers are reviewing footage of closed-circuit television cameras at the mall to help identify the robbers.
