MANILA, Philippines — The Facebook page of the Philippine National Police (PNP)’s Human Rights Affairs Office (HRAO) was hacked by unidentified persons yesterday.

Following the hacking, the view story archive of the HRAO’s official Facebook account led to a photograph of a woman in skimpy clothes.

The picture was still on the HRAO’s account as of yesterday afternoon.

The HRAO urged the public to refrain from transactions and other activities with its Facebook page while counter-measures are being undertaken to address and resolve the issue.

“We recognize the significance of securing our online platforms and are fully committed on restoring both the page and its security,” the HRAO said in a statement.

An official of the Anti-Cybercrime Group said the ACG is working to identify the people behind the hacking.
