2 alleged crime gang members fall
MANILA, Philippines — Two men, alleged members of two different criminal gangs, were arrested in Quezon City on Friday, the Quezon City Police District (QCPD) said yesterday.
Reymundo Distrito, 33, is reportedly a member of the Lontoc group, which is linked to robberies and snatchings.
The QCPD said members of the QCPD’s Masambong police station served Distrito an arrest warrant on Friday afternoon.
Judge Jose Bautista Jr. of the Quezon City Regional Trial Court Branch 107 issued the warrant against Distrito for slight physical injuries.
Meanwhile, Kenneth Arbimatiya Fallorina, 44, an alleged member of the Domingo crime gang, was arrested on Friday night by members of the QCPD’s Anonas police station.
According to the QCPD, the Domingo crime gang is involved in drug pushing, robbery, snatching and gunrunning.
Fallorina was served an arrest warrant for violating Republic Act 10591, the Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulations Act, issued by Judge Felino Elefante of Quezon City Regional Trial Court Branch 103.
The courts of origin were notified of the arrests of Distrito and Fallorina, the QCPD said.
