MANILA, Philippines — The official Facebook page of the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) was hacked yesterday morning.

The PCSO downplayed the cyberattack on its Facebook account, saying it did not affect the agency’s operations.

Melquiades Robles, PCSO general manager and vice chairman of the board, said the account was just one of several Facebook accounts used by the charity agency to announce its lotto and other digit game draws as well as lottery results.

“We have taken down the Facebook account,” Robles said.

There was no breach of information, he said.

“Our lotto and other digit games draws will go on as usual. It’s business as usual for the PCSO,” Robles said.
