San Beda confers honorary Juris Doctor degree on Duterte

MANILA, Philippines — Former president Rodrigo Duterte was among the graduates of the San Beda College of Law who were granted the Juris Doctor degree during ceremonies at the Philippine International Convention Center on Tuesday afternoon.

Former executive secretary Salvador Medialdea and former justice secretary Vitaliano Aguirre were also among those who received the honorary degree.

Duterte is a graduate of San Beda in 1972.

Medialdea and Aguirre served during the administration of Duterte, who stepped down from office on June 30, 2022.

All the other San Beda College of Law graduates from 1952 to 2018 were also bestowed the same Juris Doctor degree.
