MANILA, Philippines — A 65-year-old retired overseas worker residing in Pasig City claimed his P21.9-million lotto jackpot last Oct. 24, the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) said yesterday.

The retiree, who said he started betting on lotto games in 1995, guessed the winning combination 25-10-14-17-19-42 for the Regular Lotto 6/42 draw on Sept. 21, according to the PCSO.

The winner said he chose the numbers based on his relatives’ birthdates and placed the bet at a lotto outlet in SM City East Ortigas.

He won second prize for guessing five of the six-digit winning combination in a Regular Lotto 6/42 draw in 2018.

The winner said he plans to invest his windfall in business ventures, provide educational assistance to family members pursuing their studies and add to his savings for the future.
