Girl, 13, hit by stray bullet

CAMP VICENTE LIM, Laguna, Philippines — A 13-year-old girl was wounded after she was hit by a stray bullet in San Juan, Batangas on Saturday night.

The incident occurred amid a gun ban imposed by the Commision on Elections in connection with the holding of the barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan elections this month.

The victim was rushed to the San Juan District Hospital for treatment of a gunshot wound in the arm.

The girl and her brother were walking along the road when she felt pain in her left arm.
