Marcos appoints Maguindanao Norte provincial government execs
MANILA, Philippines — President Marcos has appointed Abdulraof Macacua and Fatima Ainee Sinsuat as governor and vice governor, respectively, of Maguindanao del Norte, Malacañang announced yesterday.
The President also named Abdulnasser Abas, Mashur Biruar, Rommel Sinsuat and Alexa Ashley Tomawis as board members.
Alonto Bangkulit Jr., Ahmil Hussein Macapendeg, Bobby Midtimbang and Yussef Paglas were appointed as provincial board members of Maguindanao del Sur.
The Presidential Communications Office released the list of new officials on Facebook.
Residents of Maguindanao ratified in a plebiscite in September last year the division of Maguindanao into Maguindanao del Norte and Maguindanao del Sur.
The division of the province is provided under Republic Act 11550 signed by former President Rodrigo Duterte in May 2021.
In April, Marcos appointed Abdulraop Macasena as Maguindanao del Norte governor.
