MANILA, Philippines — The Clark International Airport Corp. (CIAC) yesterday announced its board of directors’ designation of Nancy Paglinawan as the state-run aviation firm’s officer-in-charge.
Paglinawan is the CIAC’s current vice president for finance and will act as the agency’s interim president in lieu of Joshua Bingcang, who served as the agency’s president since March 17, but was appointed by President Marcos on June 8 as president and chief executive officer of the Bases Conversion and Development Authority (BCDA).
The CIAC is a subsidiary of the BCDA while the Department of Transportation exercises policy supervision and operational control over the CIAC.
Paglinawan is a certified public accountant by profession who holds a master’s degree in management from the University of the Philippines. She served as state auditor in various government agencies before leading the CIAC’s financial team in 2012.
The CIAC is the government corporation managing the 2,367-hectare Clark Civil Aviation Complex, home to the Clark International Airport, and host to the mixed-use commercial hub Clark Global City and other locators engaged in manufacturing, information and technology, renewable energy and other non-aviation-related industries. – Ric Sapnu, Ralph Edwin Villanueva, Ramon Efren Lazaro
