Non-working holiday in Pampanga today

Ric Sapnu - The Philippine Star

CITY OF SAN FERNANDO, Pampanga, Philippines — Today is a non-working holiday in Pampanga in commemoration of the 32nd anniversary of Mt. Pinatubo’s eruption.

Malacañang previously signed a proclamation declaring June 15 of every year a special non-working holiday in the province. This is in response to the Pampanga government’s request for remembrance of the volcano’s eruption on June 15, 1991, so it can render appropriate tribute to those who perished or survived in the event, and help in the relocation, rehabilitation and recovery of affected families.
