Iloilo bettor wins P44 million lotto jackpot

MANILA, Philippines — A bettor from Iloilo City won the  jackpot amounting to P44,070,179.40 in the 6/42  Regular Lotto drawn on Thursday night, the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) announced yesterday.

The PCSO said the bettor guessed the six-digit winning combination, 36-07-19-26-08-01.

Sixty-six other bettors won P24,000 each for hitting five of the winning numbers.

The PCSO said a bettor from Calapan City in Oriental Mindoro won a total of P1,535,439 in the 6D Lotto. The winning numbers are 0-4-2-0-7-3.

Winners have one year from the date of the draws to claim their prizes under Republic Act 1169 or the law on PCSO lotteries.

Lotto winnings amounting to more than P10,000 are subject to a 20 percent tax under the Tax Reform for Acceleration and Inclusion or TRAIN Law.
