Tondo bettor wins P34.1 million lotto pot

MANILA, Philippines — A bettor in Tondo, Manila won the P34.1-million jackpot in the Grand Lotto 6/55 drawn on Wednesday night.

Melquiades Robles, Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office general manager and vice chairman of the board, said the bettor guessed the six-digit winning combination 26-23-34-41-45-29.

The winner bought the ticket at a lotto outlet in Tondo.

Seven other bettors won P100,000 each for guessing five digits of the winning combination.

The Tax Reform for Acceleration and Inclusion or TRAIN Law imposes a 20 percent tax on lotto winnings above P10,000.
