MANILA, Philippines — The remains of the six passengers of a Cessna plane that crashed in Isabela were brought to Cauayan City yesterday.

Joshua Hapinta of the Isabela provincial information office said a Philippine Air Force (PAF) helicopter carrying the remains of the victims landed at the Cauayan airport at around 8:38 a.m.

The PAF helicopter failed to airlift the bodies on Monday due to bad weather across the Sierra Madre mountain range.

The wreckage of the ill-fated aircraft was found in Barangay Ditarum in Divilacan on March 9 by teams from the military and members of the Dumagat tribe.

The plane was reported missing on Jan. 24 after it took off from Cauayan airport for Maconacon town.

Investigators from the Aircraft Accident Investigation and Inquiry Board of the Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines have arrived at the crash site.
