MANILA, Philippines — The Philippine Army announced yesterday the designation of Maj. Gen. Romulo Manuel as the head of its Reserve Command (RESCOM).
Manuel, a member of the Philippine Military Academy Class of 1990, assumed the post in ceremonies held at Camp General Mariano Riego de Dios in Tanza, Cavite on Monday.
Manuel was former deputy chief of staff for reservist and retiree affairs as well as intelligence at Camp Aguinaldo. He also served as commander of the Army’s Artillery Regiment and assistant chief of staff for plans.
Army spokesman Col. Xerxes Trinidad announced that Col. Samuel Manzano would be RESCOM deputy commander.
