Motorbike rams tree; 3 dead

PANGASINAN, Philippines — Three persons died when their motorcycle rammed a tree along a national road in Barangay Dumpay in Basista town shortly after midnight yesterday.

The Pangasinan police identified one of the fatalities as Ricky Seguin, 48, an administrative aide of the Rural Health Unit and a resident of Barangay Palma in the town.

Police said the accident occurred when Seguin, who was driving the motorcycle, tried to avoid crashing into another motorbike.

The victims died while being treated at the Pangasinan Provincial Hospital in San Carlos City.
