Cebu capitol employees to get additional P10,000 bonus
MANILA, Philippines — Aside from a P25,000 cash incentive, provincial capitol employees in Cebu will get an additional P10,000 bonus this holiday season.
In a special session yesterday, the Sangguniang Panlalawigan approved a supplemental budget of P13.8 million for the service recognition incentive (SRI) of provincial government employes.
Gov. Gwendolyn Garcia certified as urgent the measure, which was sponsored by board member Glenn Anthony Soco, chairman of the committee on budget and appropriations.
President Marcos had earlier issued Administrative Order No. 1 authorizing the grant of SRI to government employees this year at a uniform rate not exceeding P20,000 in recognition of their collective and invaluable contribution to ensure responsive delivery of services to the public.
On Monday, the provincial board approved a supplemental budget of P53.5 million to cover the Collective Negotiation Agreement (CNA) incentive.
Under the ordinance, qualified employees will receive a bonus of P25,000 each, subject to the guidelines issued by the Department of Budget and Management under Budget Circular No. 2022-3.
Job order and contract of service personnel will get P10,000 each, provided it is not more than 120 percent of the comparable regular position rate from date of their hiring.
CNA incentives depend on the performance of the local government unit and is not given every year.
