Boy, 9, found floating in creek

CAMP VICENTE LIM, Laguna, Philippines — A nine-year-old-boy, who had been missing since Nov. 25, was found floating in a creek in Batangas on Sunday.

The remains of Rommel Moog were recovered at the boundary of San Jose and Cuenca towns at around 3:45 p.m., according to Cuenca police chief Maj. Ernie de los Santos.

The boy was last seen walking along the riverbank.

De los Santos said Moog could have slipped and fallen into the river.

The victim was reportedly collecting garbage along the riverbank, which he sold in junk shops.

De los Santos ruled out foul play in the boy’s death.
