Man stabs neighbor over bike

MANILA, Philippines — A man was arrested after reportedly stabbing his neighbor over a bicycle that blocked his way in Valenzuela City on Thursday.

Marc Ale Canuto, 29, was walking in Dulong Tangke, Barangay Malinta when he encountered the bicycle.

His neighbor, identified only as Jay, tried to calm Canuto but the two ended up in a heated argument that led to the suspect stabbing Jay.

The victim is confined at the Valenzuela Medical Center after sustaining four stab wounds in the abdomen, police said.

Residents called police, who arrested Canuto and confiscated an improvised five-inch knife disguised as a ballpen.

Canuto faces a charge of frustrated homicide, according to police.
