Task force to probe ex-Aurora vice mayor’s slay

CAMP OLIVAS, Pampanga, Philippines — A special task group has been created to investigate the killing of former vice mayor Narciso Amansec of Dipaculao, Aurora, his wife Melinda and their driver in a gun attack on Monday.

Col. Jay Cumigad, Central Luzon police deputy regional director for operations will lead the task force.

Brig. Gen. Cezar Pasiwen, regional police director, said probers are gathering evidence to identify the assailants.

He assured the public and the families of the victims of the immediate resolution of the case, saying the incident would be given priority.

The victims were in an Isuzu D-Max driven by Leonard Calusa when they were waylaid.
