Easterlies to bring warmer weather in Luzon, Visayas
MANILA, Philippines — The easterlies or hot and humid air coming from the Pacific Ocean is expected to bring slightly warmer weather in the eastern portions of Luzon and the Visayas, state weather forecasters reported yesterday.
The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said chances of rain and thunderstorms would remain in these areas.
PAGASA said no low-pressure area (LPA) is expected to enter the Philippine area of responsibility in the next three days but the southwest monsoon or habagat is affecting the country.
Due to the easterlies, PAGASA said Luzon would experience fair weather with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms that may possibly bring sudden downpour until Thursday.
The Visayas and Mindanao will also have fair weather with chances of isolated rains in the afternoon or evening due to the intertropical convergence zone.
