Man snatched in Batangas found dead in Quezon

CAMP VICENTE LIM, Laguna, Philippines — A man snatched by unidentified men in Taal, Batangas on Tuesday night was found dead in Sariaya, Quezon on Wednesday.

The body of Eugene del Rosario, 25, was discovered by a passerby along Eco-Tourism Road in Sitio Pontor in Barangay Bignay 2, Lt. Col. William Angway Jr., Sariaya police chief, said.

Cpl. Jerico Pastrana, Sariaya investigator-on-case, said the victim, whose face was covered with packing tape, suffered multiple gunshot and stab wounds.

Del Rosario’s partner Jane Cabello said the victim was seized after alighting from a passenger bus in front of a gas station at around 8 p.m.

Footage of a closed-circuit television camera caught the victim being dragged by the suspects, who arrived in two vehicles.
