2 die in Nueva Ecija collision

CABANATUAN CITY, Philippines — Two persons died in a collision involving two motorcycles in Cabiao, Nueva Ecija on Saturday night.

The fatalities, identified as Carlo Mapilis, 22, and Ronald dela Cruz, 19, were declared dead on arrival in a hospital, according to Col. Jess Mendez, acting chief of the Nueva Ecija police.

Investigation showed Mapilis and Dela Cruz were traveling along Jose Abad Santos Avenue in Barangay San Fernando when their motorcycles collided at around 10:45 p.m. The impact threw both drivers off their motorcycles.
