2 die in Bukidnon road mishap

CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY, Philippines — A truck driver and his passenger died while several four others were injured when their vehicle collided with a wing van in Sumilao, Bukidnon yesterday.

Roberto Labjata and Veronica Labjata died at the scene of the incident that occurred along the highway in Barangay San Vicente.

Taken to different hospitals for treatment of injuries were truck helper Christian Garcia, wing van driver Ralph John Diama and his passengers Felix and Vivian, both also surnamed Diama.

Investigation showed that the wing van developed engine trouble, causing it to collide with Labhata’s truck that was loaded with tri-cabs.

Investigation is ongoing.
