3 dead in Bulacan structure collapse

MALOLOS, Philippines — Three persons died and another was injured when a portion of a building in Meycauyan, Bulacan collapsed on Tuesday.

The victims were trapped on the second floor of the building of E-ONE Consumer Trading Corp. at the Muralla Industrial Park in Barangay Libtong at about 4:59 p.m., according to reports reaching the office of acting Bulacan police director Col. Charlie Cabradilla.

Among the fatalities was Roel Preston who was pulled from the collapsed structure at around 11:35 p.m. on the same day.

Annalyn Baldon was extracted at around 2:10 a.m. yesterday and James Franklin Marcelo at around 7:52 a.m.

Marjorie Naling was recovered at around 8:30 p.m. on Tuesday. She was taken to the Meycauayan Doctors Hospital for treatment.

Initial investigation showed a portion of the second floor of the building collapsed due to overloading of stocked parcels.
